Hello everyone and thanks for your time.

Wonderin if anyone wants to take a guess at the worth of this piece.

My mom said it was made in a shop class back in the 60s or 70s maybe, but she had not other info. It does have the rounded glass in the doors but I don’t know how that plays into the age or style of the piece.

Please take a look at the images I’ve provided. I don’t recall seeing a manufacturer mark but I’ll post the image if I find it. I appreciate the feedback.

    Danny

Hello. Danny. Your pictures of the hutch are not coded to allow "sharing with others" so no one but you can see them. If you change that on your entire album, we can see them and give you feedback. :)

Values are not something most members here can assess. Too many variables - location, condition, comparable sales, etc. But those active in selling may have input based on their own location and experience.

Hello and thanks for the tip on the image permissions. Just asking for some opinions from the members.

    Thanks.

Hello Danny, your best bet is to check prices for oak hutches on local Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace ads to see what they are going for. In my area (New England), they are listed for around $100-300 and a few are listed as "free" since they are heavy to move and people furnishing homes these days don't want this type of furniture.

Thanks @NewEngland. I was thinking that would be the price on something like this. It’s an awesome piece I would keep if I actually had the room.

    it's very nice......but u just said a mouthful...."if I actually had the room."

That's a major reason they are so hard to sell.........

I definitely agree. Someone who needs it will get it. Can you tell how old this piece is. I was told 60s-70s...

Hi Danny, something made in the 1960s or 70s is vintage, it won't be antique until it reaches 100 years old :)

It makes a lot of difference the options you have to sell and location etc. as to price to expect.

Just a quick google came up with this hutch. It appears of similar style and construction though a bit bigger and with a different shape of glass. In case it helps. Appears to have sold for $46 in 2017 in Minnesota.

Have faith that someone who LOVES it will end up with it (it’s gorgeous!) and cherish it and maybe even pass it down through their own family.
