Is it still possible to see the listing? When @Jivvy & I were chasing down Mouhé, we came to wonder if there were 2 because we were finding both beautifully executed pieces & mediocre country village scenes. I like to capture as many examples of a cameist's work as I can.

Too bad you lost this one, but you're so good at spotting signed pieces you're sure to find others.

I was so miffed at myself for missing it, and determined to "let it go", that I immediately deleted it out of my cart and favorites list. I don't know of a way to search for completed sales on etsy.
She looked just like this one on RL except she faced the other way, was dirty, and the signature was much clearer, undoubtedly Mouhe. (And the etsy one was less than half the price of the RL one.)
I had put off buying her because I thought, do I really need another pretty lady cameo? C'est la vie.

@Bronwen, here is another signature for your files from Raimondo D'Estrada.

He was a contemporatry of Saulini as per the the "Italy Handbook for Travelers: Second Part: Central Italy and Rome" by Karl Baedeker, dated 1881.

He is the nephew of another cameist, Diego D'Estrada, per the 1873 book, " A Handbook of Rome and its Environs, by John Murray:

I found it on Etsy, and this is the first time I have seen that signature. It is out of my price range at $1800- I have never spent near that much on a cameo. Here is the front and back of the cameo and the listing: icm_150x150.301887170_4so583wpjgo40ws0kggw.jpg icm_150x150.301887170_4so583wpjgo40ws0kggw.jpg

LOL, I've seen that one and always thought that he looked like Uncle Jed from the Beverly Hillbillies!

I knew I might be the only one who saw her that way. To me she looks like Milady got caught up in the trellis. If she just had less done up hair.

I've added her to my Lebrethon file. Any objections to having her join the other Victorian ladies on my Pinterest board?

No problem, she’s not mine though I wish she was!
