I have this satin glass cranberry swirl cruet, about 7 inches to the top of the stopper.

I have it currently listed as "possibly Fenton" based on this worthpoint listing.

Someone has emailed me and politely told me it is Nailsea. I see several Nailsea on worthpoint, but all are footed and have a different, elongated shape, like this:

What do you all think? Thanks.

It doesn't look British to me. Frosting is wrong.

Not Fenton. Fenton did not use pontils.

Forget Nailsea, that's been accepted as wrong for decades. Nailsea wask known for cobalt blue glass, solid blue.

I'm going to disagree with Don. (The horror!) ;)

The typical Nailsea - TRUE Nailsea pieces are multicoloured drawn and feathered glass, not solid blue. Scent bottles, rolling pins and walking canes, too.

Bristol was the cobalt blue glass centre.

    This sort of thing:

This is (probably) Brizzle Glass. (Local pronunciation)

Owned, I'm Tom, not Don, I was under the impression that Nailsea had been removed from the supposed position of pulled feather manufacturers. If I am in error, thank you for straightening me out. I admire the skill of the workers, regardless of where they lived/worked. And thank you for the correction to Bristol. My geography of the UK is pathetic.

Oops. ;) Sorry, brain fart! (Three letter, O in the middle. My story, sticking to it. So there. ;) )

Nailsea is still very much acknowledged as pulled feather. Nailsea isn't that far from Bristol, but it's decidedly separate. I suspect many Brits might not know where it is.
