    Good Evening,
I came into these old marbles via a distant family member that passed away. I helped clean out his estate and saved these from the trash. I know very little about marbles and the more I try to research them the more overwhelmed I get.

I know some of them are beat up, obviously played with but here are some photos- any thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated.

just a side note- I am so excited to see a little into the world of marble collecting just from the bit of research I've done online. It seems like a community with members that are so passionate and knowledgeable- it's very impressive, inspiring and so cool. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg

I, too, love marbles. You find them everywhere in the soil around here. I can't help you, but I'm sure we have a marble person around here somewhere.

I had no idea that the history of marbles was so interesting. I knew marbles used to be hand made but that was all. Thank you for this information!

I have been half-heartedly trying to research my old family collection, looking to sell it. I hesitate because the info seems daunting, and I'm afraid I'll overlook that one sleeper. Nothing jumps out, like sulfides, but still...
