Featured Ecclissi sterling silver belt buckle clasp Bracelet snake rope 7-row chain. Age?

This Ecclissi piece just came in via a colleague and I haven't been able to find another example of it. We are wondering about the age of the piece. Is this a "snake rope" chain with 7-rows, or is there a better term for?I haven't been able to find much about the company history if anyone knows more about them. There is a STER on the clasp, with what appears to be a small "e" and large "C", just above the STER. We wonder if this was some very early product.

The bracelet measures 7-7/8 inches in total length, end-to-end including the clasp. It is 1/2 inch wide at the chain, about 5/8 inches wide at the bands surrounding the chain. Weight: 32.2 grams.

Yes - I was hoping the "about" page would shed some light on their early history, but it seems focused on the more recent watch collection.

I just bought it for $15.00. It came w a men’s watch with the same rope. I didn’t want that.

 

Reina, I think it is best to kep the two together, even if you won't wear the watch. They are probably worth more as a set.

All I can find is that it is a Taxco maker, which is also indicated by the 3 in the eagle mark. After ca 1980, maker MAR was also assigned a letter-number mark. So they were still making jewellery during the 1980s, maybe they still are.
Mexican marking can be confusing, and the eagle mark was still used by some after the letter-number system had already been introduced.
