Not sure what it was used for... or the makers mark.

    I purchased this last week, someone had put a candle in it which I've managed to gouge out :)

    I would appreciate any info - such as what it may be, I've searched for sugar pot, jam pot, trinket pot and any other number of 'pots.' Also the mark... I've been on t'internet and came up with Schierholz... but I could be completely wrong... I'm no expert!

    It's 4.5 (ish) inches high and 3 inch diameter :)
