I bought this "armored" backplate at a local antiques shop. It is very lightweight and has "Made in Italy" stamped on it. Can anyone identify the maker's mark based on the photo? The mark looks like 2 trees with the word "Florence" underneath. I figured it may be a ceremonial armor piece from early 20th century. Any more info would be very much appreciated.

Likely costume armor/movie prop etc. could have been for Vatican Swiss guards too, look up photos, I’m sure they wear shiny armor like this sometimes. I peeked briefly on google and couldn’t see any obvious difference between your backplate and what parts I could see of the Swiss guards’ backplates.
