    How about this thing?
It's a pin with a portrait of Vladimir Vysotsky, beloved Russian actor, poet, and singer. I think I'll put it in one of my kid's Christmas stockings. ;):D

Now that was weird. The first time I saw this, no image was attached. Now it's there. Am I going crazier or is the board software?

I love those too and sure we had them all at one time.
I wonder what’s in my Sea Chest where I put all my Grandma’s Christmas stuff for safe keeping. :)

I hit two thrifts and the grocery store today. Came home with stuff from the madhouse, i.e. grocery store.

I tried cyber shopping Thanksgiving night, Macys was out of half of what I wanted, their site crashed, Lands End was out of the sweater I wanted, Kohls screwed up my order big time, have to go into the store to straighten it out. They told me my credit was maxed out (I rarely use the card, and I have a CREDIT on the account.) Then they didn't give me Kohls cash and Macys didn't give me my Plenti points. And I have to call Macys about something whacky with the credit card charges.

So I went hunting to clear my HEAD.

I found these. I can't find anything like them on the internet. They are clear amethyst beads, but in one section on each bead, they look like carnival or mercury glass. You can see how the section is facing the viewer in some of the beads and not in others..... seems to be in the glass, not a coating. It appears they were once a double strand, but someone connected them into one big necklace and put a new finding on. They are strung on older thread..... Mystery Carnival Beads.jpg Hmmm.... any thoughts?

They're pretty, but I haven't a clue. I did however score something recently on a Facebook auction page. It's mostly friends swapping stuff around, but recently this popped up and I could hear @KingofThings jumping up and down in the background and yelled dibs. It's a Lindbergh watch fob...with a compass in it. There's a patent number on the back that may tell us whodunnit. DSCF7247small.jpg

It's available if the price is right. :) I didn't even realize the Statue of Liberty was on it too until it got here.

It turned up on a Facebook site. How was I supposed to resist that? Paid $30 for it including the shipping, which I figured was fair.
