    Hi and welcome!

You don't show the whole back of the platter or mention any other impressed or printed marks. It looks like there is a red something or other on the left in the first photo.

Here is a link to help date Wedgwood. If it doesn't say England or Made in England that helps to date it. Usually I think the date mark is impressed but if that DEE is a date mark, I think it's probably December 1876.

Millennials!!!. Since I have walked the earth with the dinosaurs I am old enough to recall the English language. Allow me to translate:
Had a reply from Wedgwood today saying they cannot help me as its too old. Could (change to Can) anyone suggest where I Can get more info.

In English we have the words; to, too and two. They do have separate meanings and are not interchangeable. The word “we’re" is the contraction for “we are”. “Where” references places or situations.

If Cassy is an immigrant please forgive me. If Cassy actually transversed the American Public School system then his/her teachers should bow their heads in shame.

Come on folks. Isn’t it about time to once again take pride in ourselves and take a minute or two (not too) to check our own words.

P.S. I know I’m going to catch all kinds of Hell fire and damnation but I am bored at the moment and really don’t care.

HaHa Walter good to see you on the boards! I hope you're doing well (though apparently you're eating rocks and nails for breakfast:)LOL).

I've found Cassy to be very polite so please Cassy don't be dissuaded and come back anytime!

Now....the English language:D. I wouldn't want the light to shine too brightly on my own use of it. I was called out for my use of "alot "vs. "a lot" once here. Actually I was taught the way I use/used it in American school once upon a time and from other's responses I wasn't the only one. That and the fact that if I'm typing on my phone, between the auto-correct and the small screen apparently I can't read diddly so later can't believe what I typed:eek:.

I play little grammar game apps and am appalled at my ability sometimes. Then I sometimes wonder where the people are who made the apps. I have a dear, highly educated friend in Scotland that when proofreading a doctoral paper for an American friend was trying to fix things that were proper usage here. Now that particular paper was headed to England so I suspect the changes stayed but it just was interesting to note the ways that the same language has different accepted usages.

Anyway......I think I'm more about communication that I am about grammar (as many will probably have noted:p). If I understand what someone is saying I'm not so concerned about how they say it. I've had a rough year and some things just seem less important than others I guess.:)

Anyway Walter.....hope your feeling well these days:).

    Judy,
I absolutely love your response. Never have I had my hand slapped so lightly yet so affectively.

"...cannot help me as its too old."

Actually "it's" was correct, contraction for "it is" :)
