What info can anyone give me on this porcelain doll head? I hope the pictures are clear enough. I have always been intrigued with this piece but know nothing about doll heads. Any info would be appreciated.
Are the markings on the back makers marks?

As Kiko said, it's by Schoenau & Hoffmeister. The company was founded in 1901 in Burggrub, Germany. The numbers at the top of her head refer to her mold number and the 13/0 at the bottom is her size.

Your doll head is referred to as their "oriental". It originally would have had either a 5-pc papier mache or composition body. The size of 13/0 for yours means that she was a smaller doll and would have had fixed brown eyes, however the larger dolls did have sleep eyes. If a girl, she would have had a wig done in to a topknot. Boys usually show up in military uniforms like the one in the link below. He sold for $125.

Here's a girl that has had her body replaced, been given a new wig and has been redressed. Basically, everything yours needs except eyes! They did a very nice job restoring her and did so appropriately. Worthpoint shows she sold in 2011 for $651.
