What is the spiral in the center ??

75 cents....couldn't pass it up untill I knew what was going on here....!
3 1/4 high by 5 across at the top....
It's a little darker than the pics.....

The pattern is called Tomates et Olives. And yours appears to be a vinaigrette bowl.
