My bad. It's really a sort of Chinese thing she's got going on with the marcelled hair. If that's a real Chinese robe, it makes you wonder where she got it.

I picked up a set of 8 of these salad plates a couple of weeks ago. I finally got the pictures done over the weekend & listed them yesterday afternoon. A lady bought 4 of them earlier today & we just closed the deal for the other 4. :D:D:D:D

I might have been able to get a little more if I had held out a little, but somehow I thought a little over 9x's what I paid for them was enough. :smug::smug::smug::smug::smug: :woot::woot::woot:

Way to go, Peggy! I'm sure she's looking forward to having them for the holidays!

I had never seen this pattern before I bought these plates, but can you imagine a whole table set this pattern? I think it would be quite stunning.:happy::happy:

I just wish there would have been other pieces in this pattern. :(:(

With eight salad plates, you could have a sweet little gathering with 8 friends for holiday desserts, etc.

    Stunning pattern.

    Truth in advertising!

I'm not sure I'd want more than this on a table. Mix it in with some plain white plates with gold rims, or dark green ones, and you'd really have something. That's the quilter/fabric matcher in me talking of course.

1891 $1 Treasury Note (Edwin Stanton pictured)
A recent addition to my collection. These are not too plentiful in any condition apparently. Some staining on the back kept it affordable.

    Bearrrry nice, in fact.

I went to a local thrift today in search of jewelry. Found some...and a pair of Avia kicks that are still on my feet. $7 for brand new gel insole sneakers and $50 for jewelry. The sterling and rock crystal ring is going to land in my Christmas stocking. Rock crystal's my favorite rock. The iris stone grapes alas are badly damaged - the entire pin stem attachment is gone and two of the stones were badly reglued. I'm going to add a bail and a chain. The beads are sommerso cased glass, and the pin is sterling with real stones and elephants.

I used to have some similar ones; Wilesco, not nearly as pretty as the little Bing.
