Need suggestion for some vintage plates

    Those look like hand painted but no mark found. Any suggestion of the age and manufacture?

    I don't know for sure but they might be Chinese, sort of a strange Famille Rose kind of thing?

    I don't think they are chinese unless they sent the plain body to china for painting job, but very unlikely

    Fair enough, I was looking at the backs and noticed the kiln grit and construction, that's why I thought Chinese.

    These are nice. I think the distinctive base rules out English so Continental in my opinion. French perhaps?

    I've seen that base on some of our stuff, tho'. And the oblong with cut corners shape was used by Wedgwood, for example.

    Interesting. Thanks for that I've not seen that type of double foot rim on any English stuff before - will look out for it.

    You do see that central reinforcement to prevent sagging on large pieces of Meissen et al and these pieces are true hard paste porcelains so either Oriental or European, definitely not English.

    If not Oriental, I'm leaning toward a eastern European manufacture, Iron Curtain country perhaps.
