Another silver "puzzle"

First
The workmanship and subject matter sometimes make up for the condition.
Second
Without knowing when, why and how rare this item is you can't place correct value.

If I think the way you do, a lot of items in my collection would have been sold for scrap...

Since it is not handmade there is no workmanship involved here. The subject is not rare.

Lenny I know exactly where you are coming from. I’m no expert, but I will say this: some items hold a value above and beyond what people tell you they are worth. Everyone who says it’s worth just the price of silver is correct (if you just consider people who value only the silver) and anyone who says it’s worth more can be correct too considering people who like the design. I’ve found many things in my time collecting that other people have passed up and I have found profitable value. I can’t answer for you how valuable this item may be, but I can say there is absolutely some qualities of collectibility, otherwise, why would the maker even bother putting any design on the coin. Nice find!
