    dear all

    buttons used by the straits chinese :happy:
    real coins were modified into buttons, aesthetic appeal :eek::rolleyes:
    i have cotton blouses made by my great grandmother and used to wear them but those buttons were just too finicky :(:p:D

    the other ones are real Netherlands east indies coins.

    Davey would probably be appalled that the gold coins were made into buttons. The Netherlands East Indies ones not so much, to a collector they are worth peanuts.

    However non are scarce dates, fairly common.

    Melt value of the Quarter Eagles today is $153.55
    so with the 5 gold coins you have around $767
