Beautiful dress! Never worn. But I think the weight of it caused beading to come loose at the shoulders. As soon as I removed it from the garment bag I noticed a couple beads fell off. I put a little piece of masking tape to prevent any more from falling, and placed it in a box. My question is, should I attempt to repair it? Or simple sell As-Is and hope for the best? Thank you!

First ...what makes you so sure men won’t know the answer??? :)
    -
Dresses like this should NOT be hung but stored in a proper container and flat as you have now.
    -
I’d get the tape off it now and the residue left.
Find another way to restrain things.
    -
    You keeping it?
    Fix it if you want.
Selling it...may have to fix it.

That appears to be a fairly large area of bead loss. Sell as is with full disclosure is always my advice. Others may have a different opinion.

Have the beads broken free on both shoulders?

And I don't think you should try to do any repairs yourself, Hemster.

    LOL!! sorry King :shame:
I took it right down and placed it in a box with tissue paper.
It appears to have been hanging on that hanger for quite some time I'm afraid.

Make sure there isn’t a label somewhere in that this was someone’s movie or TV costume.
    That stuff has gone crazy.

I have no idea what a dress like this would be worth. The pictures don't do it justice really.

Long ago, pre fire :( the original MGM in Vegas sold movie props in a store in the lower mezzanine.
I could’ve retired well on just a few of the things I could’ve bought there. :(
Up to and including a pair of Dorothy’s red shoes.
    :(
I went in there often. :(

    Wow, imagine?
The hanger with this dress says 'Orloff Originals'. Could that be something good?

What about the label I can see in your first picture? Does that say Orloff too?

I wonder if that is the same Mr. Blackwell that did the famous worst dressed lists many years ago.
