Featured Japanese candle holder?

    This is a heavy stone candle holder with gold stone inlay. I can only find vases similar to this. Is it from Japan? What era? Any idead what it could be worth? Any info would be so much appreciated. IMG_0521.JPG

    I don't see any stone there - but I do see enamel.

    Looks like Chinese enamel to me too.

    Might it be a marriage, like a cloisonne vase has squeezed itself between parts of a candlestick ?

    Chinese cloisonné enamel. It could be a marriage, it could also have been made this way for export.
    My guesstimate is 1890-1910.

    The vase is Japanese, the Chinese did not use "goldstone" as can be seen here in the brown enamel... The rest of thecandle holder is western, so yes, a marriage...

    Thank you so much folks. I had not even looked at the bottom of this, sending more pictures. It seems like it was upcycled. Second picture shows the goldsand better. Got it for only 1$ at a garage sale!!
