Featured Victorian Sewing Box.

    Hi all,
    I was sorting through my bags of stuff having a tidy out and hoping for a project.
    I came across this box that I bought a long time ago, It had deteriorated and I stripped it then forgot about it.
    I decided to re-cover it, All the materials I used are Victorian as always.
    The quilting came out of a Victorian sewing box or basket (I forget). It was one piece, I had to cut that to size.
    The red fabric which matches really well is part of a Victorian cape.
    I made the strip for holding the sewing tools.
    I re-mounted the original beadwork onto the velvet.
    The paper I used on the bottom came out of a bible from the 1700's.

    I found a nice 1930`s oak 4 legged sewing box in a clearance last week, I`ll save it until next time at Hemswell and you can have first dibs :D
