Old fur coat with snaps on arms

    I picked this up today and has that old smell. I have never seen a fur coat like this with arm closer snaps, only at the ends though. Also has the hook and round metal grabs in front, 2 cut outs lower back I would guess for a belt or something.
    No labels inside..Anybody know what kind of coat this is and what kind of fur, some areas looks like little spikes coming out of fur.

    I think it might better be described as a fur cape.
