Howdy all! Hope you’re all doing well! So, I came across this fun skull bead bracelet and I did a bunch of tests on it to determine if it is what I suspected it to be, Bakelite. The warm water smell test, the simichrome test, and well, it weighs about right. I believe it is Bakelite. But haven’t seen anything like it before in terms of Bakelite. Have any of you? Or, is there any other test I can do (beyond destructive testing) to determine definitively?

    thanks all!

Mold marks mean it is not Bakelite.

No need for testing imo. These skull bracelets are mostly modern Chinese resin. Some are hand carved bone, but this isn't.
