Depression Glass Info needed!

Hi everyone,

Brand new to this forum....ive come across this decanter (I think) at my grandmother's house. I picked it to keep because I liked the color, but it was recently suggested to me that it could be depression glass and of some value. Any info on the pattern, value etc would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

Welcome, Lee! I'm not a "glassie" but this lovely decanter (with silver? collar) doesn't look like anything I have seen here or elsewhere described a "depression glass."

I would suggest (since many specialists do not come to this Introduction section looking for questions) that you start a thread about it in the Pottery Glass and Porcelain Forum.

We were all new once.

 

If you look at the dark brown line up top, you will see Forums right next to Home. Click on it, you will see a list of the forum catagories . click on the one that best suits what you want info on (Pottery and glass) and click on it, then post as you normally would. But your current title should bring the right eyes to your item.

 

It looks more like Czech cut to clear glass than Depression glass, but we'll need better pictures.

 

I just posted to the pottery section as well...ill add some pictures on there!

Hi and WELCOME, Lee!! Hang in there.....the right "glassies" help will be along in due time....especially since you posted in the other section as well!!! Your Decanter is beautiful!! Love the green and silver....if you see hallmarks on the silver, you might want to post closeups of them too!!
