Might be an area I try to expand my knowledge in. Have a few items in my collection currently but this seems to be a interesting and challenging field to collect, especially for pre-prohibition items.

    Your thoughts please,
    Joe

I went through the beer can craze as a kid in the 70s. I might be able to help. There's a minority of folks that kept the flame going until the present that still deal in breweriana. Also, e-boo is a good place to go to get general value.

Any cone top beer cans in your collection? I don't have any yet but like the look of them. The area I live in was a serious production hub for breweries back in pre-prohibition era due to all the German immigrants from the 1840's on forward.

Lucky you! Yeah, cones are awesome. I tended toward the ones that were heavy on graphics/color, like Cooks and Old Topper. I used to fantasize that I lived in the 30s and 40s and could just walk into a store and buy a six pack of cone tops!

Another good thing to collect is 1930s/40s flat tops. The best have opening instructions on the back and or "Internal Revenue Tax Paid" written on them. Simple, heavy paint and metal, good heft in the hand. They don't even remotely make them like that any more!!
