Are these cordial glasses? They are about 3 3/4" tall and 2 1/2" across the rim.
I have been unable to find the maker. I have two of each color. Thanks!

Are those bottom 2 bulges solid?
If so maybe they are cordials or for aperitifs?

Just the very bottom bulge is solid.

Anyone else? I'm bringing these to the store today and I'd like to price them appropriately.

I hadn't heard of them before a couple years ago. When I did, I noticed them in old TV a LOT. Mostly mid fifties to mid sixties in upscale, modern settings. Seemed to be on every table.

    Hi,
The correct name was cigarette urns not vases. Grew up with them when I was younger. I still collect the Wedgwood 3½ cigarette urns though nowadays people call them vases. They used to hold 4 or 5 cigarettes and one was placed at each place setting.

    Thanks greg.

The thing is, these seem much more fragile than any cigarette urns or holders I saw when googling. Others appear to be made of fairly thick glass.

Nope. Terry and Greg are most probably right. I'm just spending some time convincing myself of it. :D

So what makes it a cigarette urn as opposed to a cordial or 'drinking' glass?

    Hi,
I was wondering the same thing, I never saw ones in glass before. All I have ever noticed were porcelain or ceramic. The nicest ones were on a neighbors table. They matched her china. I never saw another set. However I love my Jasperware Wedgwood ones. I still need to replace my black and white one. The only one I have seen for sale in last couple of years was 75 dollars too rich for my blood.:oops::oops::oops:
