I don't know much about glass it kind of looked like Murano but I may be completely wrong.it measures 7 1/2" across ,4" tall and over an inch thick. Their is no markings at all.

Found in that these items and more have been in a box for some time marked Kitchen. Given there were other things kitchen related in there as well. ;)

I don't see the usual color through the candlestick to convince me it's Milk Glass.

The cool chopstick set is a days' old acquisition.

Anyone have any input on all these please?

    OH! Thanks!
Seems that could go back to 1862 with TRADE MARK added!
    Is that correct?

What is that in the design? A ribbon?

Any clue of value in this condition?

Got this for 8 bucks today - someone has done a hatchet job at re-gluing and re-upholstering it. It's going to be my new project :)

I miss you guys. I can't say I haven't found anything worth posting, but I am overwhelmed cleaning out my uncle's house, barn, and shed. Lots of guy stuff, old tools, some crocks, nautical stuff (gave it to my cousin), found a duplicate set of WWII medals, and upstairs we found my grandmother's china and glassware which I will have to upload pictures for you to see. Not much, but her china dates to about 1920, McNichols pattern Carnation. I am not much for glassware, but she had this set sitting on top of her china cabinet (also in the house, but can't find the shelves, driving me crazy) that I always loved. I will show you it, I have identified what it was, excited! Family took what they wanted, but I still have so much that my brother and I are probably going to have a barn sale in November.

I think that transfer pattern, as shown, is upside down. It's a flowering tree (Prunus it would be called) with stylized ribbon entwined in the branches.

It's not the most dramatic example, but the influence is Japanese - Japonism - so 1870s or so ought to be about right.
