Featured Need help identifying antique furniture piece

Need help identifying antique furniture piece before I start working on it. Friend gave it to us. He said its in range of 150-200 years old. We have no idea where is it from , the age or the purpose. My plan is to turn it to wine/liquor cabinet. It looks very old , no nails has been used on this piece.
The bottom face piece looks like tiger oak.

Can we see pictures of the back/sides etc? I'm no help, but we have a couple of furniture experts who might be.

 

Back side pic. On 1side there are some chiseling marks.

 

Looks to me more like something that was "built in" rather than a stand alone piece of furniture.

About those wooden poles inside - are they only attached at one end? They also look a lot newer than the outside pieces of wood.

Yes the poles hanging. They look old as well. Also wood pin connection. Hinge parts in front are something I never seen before.

 

I agree about those hinges - very weird angle.

No spools on the far left? Wondering why. Far right have on both sides. Whatever they held not possible/convenient on the right
Tiger oak? Possible?
Trying to guess - obviously it was attached to something else to cause the fading on the back.
Re: GMA, Why do those spools look newer? Less exposure? Or much newer?
If I'm imagining your intention correctly, are you planning another spool behind to hold the bottles?
Six feet plus in length? Three high?

I'm a bit skeptical about that idea. Maybe it's an optical illusion, but the little arms look like the ones on the left of the poles are straight out to the side, but the ones on the right look like they are angled away from the open side of the case. Not to mention that the ones on the right of the first pole on the right seem to touch the case (or are actually attached to the case.)

 

Looks like something old and utilitarian. Farm equipment? Maybe a cabinet for drying something in. Something would be hung on those spindle trees.
