DSCF6266small.jpg DSCF6278small.jpg Went hunting today, for once went finding too. There's some bits of scrap metal headed straight to melt, not shown. (single earrings, crunched ones, a weighted 50s candlestick in the standard design) Some modern costume didn't make the shot either. There are what I'm pretty sure are two jade beads, some dyed green ??? stone beads, a bit of silver, a bakelite bangle and... oh my. The amber came from an unadvertised sale.

This was one of those cottages that was used only occasionally by several factions of a family, it was in a trust for the past 40 years and the place was a mess. The frame was on the floor in the living room along with a bunch of junk, very tarnished with a piece of tape covering the makers mark.

Odds are no one in the family even remembered having it; it was "just an old frame" that somebody got as a wedding/birthday/something gift. A friend visited from out of town today, she and her husband retired to Hilton Head SC, and she was wearing a gold ring I sold her for about scrap. I got the ring the same way as you got the frame; it was in a pile of "old junk" and wasn't marked. Gotta love tape!
