I’ve looked everywhere for this moulding and crimson or burgundy ground with no luck at all.

It is very well painted and the gilding is outstanding.

I’m tending to think Coalport but would welcome other opinions.

    Thanks

    John

Yes I am probably wrong using Regency. I think maybe 1820-1940 though.

Just wondering… Despite not having larger holes around the entire circumference, is this still considered a ribbon plate?

And I would’ve thought more likely Victorian rather than Regency but WDIK. :)

I suspect it may even be late 19th into early 20th. Colour looks French to me.

    Sorry typo I meant 1840

It’s not a ribbon plate. I too wondered about France but I do feel it’s English in painting style.
I’ve put it for sale now.

I got this great email from an expert on H & R Daniel

Hi John, thanks for trying. I can tell you that your dessert plate was made by the H&R Daniel factory 1822-46. It is known as the Second Gadroon variation B shape and recorded with pattern number 4008. A plate without the shell moulding is illustrated in the Daniel Tableware book.

Difficult to tell from the image but is this hand painted or transfer printed?
