Featured interesting enamel and stone belt buckle

hi guys

something else i bought yesterday. moderately priced at an antiques market
was £20 but couldnt resist as its something i might keep and wear

bits of enamel loss in places, been worn alot i guess

think the green stones might be glass, but the center stone looked interesting

glows bright red under uv light unexpectedly i found today

havent a clue on age or origin

i so enjoy sharing with you guys, makes the whole process more special

any thoughts appreciated

 

Could be a ruby. They do that.

I always hold you in mind when buying pieces

I think gilded, but will give it a little clean to see if any base material is showing through

It's been through the mill a bit !

thats a great likeness, too similar to be a coincidence, especially with the back detail

it might be being jade is an unexpected bonus as well, stays cold when placed to my cheek which i take as a good sign

It's good to know bargains can be found from dealers as well as charity shops, might be a little more in price but a bargain none the less

 

when something is as nicely worked on the reverse where it will not be seen....as it is on the front...I usually find that to be a sign of quality !!
