hello boys and girls. Here i have an ancient looking vase. It is very heavy and made from clay with a heavily crazed glaze. (Ryhming...sort of)

I think it is Chinese as i found it amongst other chinese antiques but im not certain. Any ideas on age?

Congratulations Ratsy, it is a Song dynasty celadon stoneware vase.
I love these, have two myself. One was verified in the 70s by the Princessehof Museum in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, which specializes in Chinese porcelain, etc.

Any, when you say that you have two of these, are they the exactly same shape, rim, paste color and base?

I've seen these in different museums and can tell you, no two are the same in this style. I think they were utilitarian vessels (wine?) made in different parts of the Song empire, so different clay bodies, etc.
My two aren't the same, both were in a collection here in The Netherlands since the late 40s before I got them.

The big one is 22.5 cm, the small one 19 cm.
Ratsy, I have no idea of the value.

Thank you. That's one of the neatest lists I've seen. It has been bookmarked.
