Featured Which is the oldest?

Bit of fun. Just washed these ready for some proper research and pricing. But an initial check shows some good names and a surprise. So which ceramic piece is the oldest and who made it?

 

Wholly unfair but I love the challenge. Without seeing the backstop or logo makes it nearly impossible to determine age and country of origin.
I have little choice but to confine my comments to the rather restrictive area of my collecting knowledge-Italian Ceramics. Based solely on shape of the rim and decoration I believe that the plate in the second row, far left (below the bowl with handles) may be of early 20th Italian origin. Also possible is the plate that sits in the last row, second from the left. This plate may also be Italian and the rose pattern suggest that it is the Nove Rose produced in Nove and Bassano, near Venice. The plate next to it, Blue and White, may be another candidate.

If it is a play guess for fun, knowing nearly nothing on porcelain, I'd say the upper plate, third column from the right, German origin??

The plate below the bowl with handles and lid is Doulton Burslem, c1893

The very large blue & white charger is Yamatoku, between 1880-1910 we think.

Neither are the oldest

 

Nice plate, but that one is Royal Doulton c 1930

 

The plate with the centre rose is Spodes Jewel, late 1920s

 

The pair of white floral saucers look Austrian to me, but I can't tell how old.

 

We haven't identified the maker's yet (mark: R in a triangle) but they are also stamped Limoges France so probably post 1891

 

Ah. Limoges. I was looking at the curlicue edge which I have on some of my Austrian pieces.

 

I'll bet it's the black one which looks totally modern.

Hm. Tazza, top right is interesting. Perhaps that, or my second guess is the two blue transferware below.

 

Ok, the tazza is handpainted and unmarked. Tentatively I have this as mid 19th century

Blue & white transferware square bowls/dishes.

No makers name to back but marked roche abbey yorkshire.
Firmly attributed to John Meir with an estimated date of c1820.

And the oldest pieces we think

 

The square rose colored ones are Spode Tower, and can be relatively young.

Well, I have to confess we have a large set of both the rose colored and the blue Spode Tower, so pretty easy catch.

I would also have thought the curly-edged ones were from Austria, imported c. 1900, as I have a partial set with similar edge treatment that was my great-grandmother's - marked L Straus & Son, Carlsbad Austria. But did not think them the oldest.

Can we see a closer look at the tazza? That was going to be my guess.

And what's the blue one, center of the bottom row?

 

Hah. I wasn't far off then. I'd like to see the tazza too. Those square ones somehow have that aged look.

 

I think that's Doulton Pomeroy.

Hard to get a good look at the square ones, they resemble some of the Copeland Spode I think.
