hello i,m trying to find more info on this lovely piece ive recently ac quired... friends have told me it may be from fiji...but in order to value it i need to know more info if anyone can help..its in very good condition ...240cm x 45cm any help would be much appreciated
Welcome, foxired. Yes, it is Fijian and very nice. The Fijian name for tapa is masi. Maybe @Taupou can help with more information.

I was thinking more along the lines of determining age, because foxired wants to know more to be able to assess a value. I know about the technique and the region, but that doesn't help much here. And I know the gorgeous warm brown ones are older. But Taupou may know how to recognize the period of this one.
