    Hello,

I'm hoping someone here can help me identify this table I inherited from my grandmother. The local stores don't seem to know much about furniture origins.

I really appreciate any insight anyone can offer.

    Thanks!

Pretty little Edwardian occasional table to me. That's early 20th C.

Any ideas as to its possible value? I plan to keep it, but I'm curious.

If you're curious , now that you know what it is , you can search eBay for past sales....the web , for any that have come up in action.....for sold prices.....auction catalogs.....and web sites selling this type of furniture....to see their asking prices.

    I'd do it all for you............but I'm sleepy !
    G'night..........& good luck !

No, you got me all wrong !!

If it wasn't so late & I was so tired, I'd have looked around to see if anything showed up in the same style.
Sometimes a quick search can produce results, but you say you're keeping it ...so you've got all the time in the world to search at your leisure, and drill down to where others of this ilk may be found.

I offered you valid suggestions....no need for you to be rude or dismissing of my post !!:stop:

You'll find that doesn't serve you well here.;)

Sorry, but your post came across as sarcasm. Other than eBay, are there specific antique auction sites I should reference? I apologize for my ignorance on the subject.

    That's OK....U don't know me !

As for sites....I don't visit high end furniture auctions so I don't know them by name......maybe others can suggest one's they know.....

Hey, I'm likely ignorant of stuff that you know....so that's why we come here looking for help......no apology needed..!

Value is so very dependent on venue and location. Could see this bringing $20.00 at a Midwest country auction. Would think at most higher end houses, this would still be under $300.00. Might see it higher in a big city retail location. For me to be able to sell this in my shop in semi-rural Midwest, I would need to be under $150.00.

As you can see, there is no one answer to value. You need to gauge your situation and decide accordingly. If looking for an insurance value, think on the higher end. If trying to sell as an individual, think auction value for your area or 1/3 to 1/2 of retail value. You could get lucky and find an end user at retail value but odds are you will need to be willing to take less. Start a little high and be willing to bargain.

Thanks for the insight. I plan to keep it since it has more sentimental than monetary value.
