Hello folks! I've got a plate with an allegorical scene and I can't make heads or tails out of the mark. The plate measures 8 1/2" across. It's got a blurry blue mark and a gold 276. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
    Don

The only thing I can tell you it is a 'flow blue plate' with probably a transfer picture, could possibly be hand painted, but doubt.

Please don't call this flow blue. That would involve the blue ink in a transfer bleeding. This looks like airbrushed blue.

Thanks, jackolin - it is transfer ware. Don't worry, Janet, I don't list an item as flow blue unless I can find it in my flow blue books or the blue shows on the back of the plate.

Thank you, Mill Cove. I figure I can get away with this hat till harvest season. Then I may have to wear that rabbit fur hat I asked about a few months ago. Darn thing won't sell!

I think I rather like the new look but somehow it makes me look a little startled. Do you have anything I could wear to work and then maybe dancing afterwards?

I used your image from the fur hat because it was a little bigger to work with......and the hat is cropped from that woman with the big red horizontal feathery hat....haha!!! BE careful when I get too creative.....but then I can't do too much damage with just a portion of a face!!:cool::cool::cool::cool::p:D

Oh, Aquitane! I am in that fortunate stage of life where I don't give a rat's behind what anybody thinks anymore. So create away! Anything that will make people smile is okay with me.;):):woot:
