When people disappear, they either have other matters to attend to, or are off to bed. None of us are around 24/7. I explained to you that more people will see your question if you start your own thread, which you still haven't done. If you just want an answer from those few who happen to come across this thread, you will have to wait until they are logged in and willing to look into this.
So glad those capitals didn't wake me up.;) But if you had done as I explained in the beginning, you would have had your answer within a few hours.

    Anyway, about the bottle.
It is a very pretty snuff bottle, but lower quality cloisonné enamel, and it is missing the stopper and spoon.
These are still being made, and without the spoon, dating is difficult. My guess is late Republic Period, 1930s-40s.
As Komo said, we don't do values here, but you will find the same bottles, with stopper and spoon, in a price range of $20-200. The last is an extremely fancy price which the seller will never get.

Which you will never get, I put $20-200. So 20 is what you could expect for one with a stopper and spoon. I wouldn't expect more than that for this one, but if you want to ask 100-200$, it is up to you. The amount you will have to pay for listing it for years to come may justify it.;)
Just for consideration, I pay that kind of price for a quality one-of-a-kind antique jade bottle.

With a rare snuff bottle it doesn't matter that much if you have no stopper and spoon. But there are hundreds if not more of these bottles, same design and colours. If someone can buy a complete one for 20, why would he/she buy an incomplete one for 100?
You were happy to get 10, so why scrap it now? The scrap value is negligible.
If you have more snuff bottles, or more small cloisonné items, you can list them together as a lot. That is better than scrapping a pretty bottle like this.

even if the design is not exact....many bottles of this style were made , and are still made today.
to know which are better, more sought after and valuable...you'll need a few good books....and a lot of searching on line to see what they sell for at auctions and on web sites...

    Oh..btw......AJ...is a gal...not a guy ! :happy::happy:

Are there Irish or German (or any other culture) snuff bottles?

China has had mass production for centuries. That doesn't have to be a problem, neither is the design. It is not about rare designs, it is about quality of the craftsmanship. Here are two snuff bottles of good quality, the imperfections in the lacquer mean that they have some age:

I have more special ones, but they are in boxes somewhere.
If you are willing to study hard, you can start buying good or even top bottles. Otherwise you'd better not, you could make costly mistakes.

Stumbled onto this forum and your topic here.. Just wanted to add that the one white and brown stone bottle appears to be a very nice russet jade pebble bottle... Not even the same category as your others.. Do a little google searching for "Chinese russet jade pebble snuff bottle", I think you will be pleasantly surprised..

    Welcome to the forum, @georgeingraham.
It would, but that one is antique, nicely carved, possibly Imperial, and the best provenance you can get, Hugh Moss.
Cyborg's is no older than 1970 and of a type and quality that can be bought for less than $20. Sure, the pebble is nice, but as a bottle it is fairly pedestrian. Collectors want a bit more.
I like pebble jade snuff bottles, which is why I have a few. Here is one of them, carved with the three-legged toad, which I posted in another snuff bottle thread. On the right, 18th century or older, later stopper.

    Any... ,

The provenance for Hugh's bottle does not give the same provenance to yours.. Actually, they are two completely different styles of jade bottles. His is carved, yours is formed naturally in a river, this it "pebble" name. Although yours is a lovely russet jade pebble bottle, it could just as easily have been recovered from a riverbed during 19th or even 20th century as compared to 18th..

These last two you shared are not considered pebble bottles, and are not old.. Probably carved 20th century.
