METTLACH STYLE PITCHER?

Do you think this original Mettlach made in Germany or later reproduction?
height 15 1/2". Any suggestion of market value?

 

Do you see any pewter marks ANYWHERE at all on/under that lid????

OK.....better wait for the Pottery Gurus, who WILL be along eventually!! It's a nice looking stein that I have a couple of, but little knowledge of!! When I was younger, I chose not to learn too much about too many antiques......NOW, decades later......I find I should have listened more!!! Such is life!

 

Looks like the right kind of open three ring hinge to be possibly Victorian era but you may need to find the pattern.

Thank you for the information. What do you think of the bottom mark? There is no Mettlach sign, only a number. Is that original ?

 

I think it is original but don't know who made it.
