Identifying the age of brass coat rack

    Hello,
For months I've been searching to replace a brass coat rack that my grandmother left to me. It was lost by a moving company, and I'd like to try to find the exact same model. My mom is especially sad about it being gone, so I think having one that looks the same might mitigate some of the pain I've caused her.

The problem is that my search is too broad, and in months of daily searching, I've only found one ebay listing that looked like it could be a match. Unfortunately, that listing was already closed.

I have a picture of the coat rack, but it's just cut out from the background of another photo, so it's not great. It has purses and a coat hanging on it. I'll post that. My grandma had it spray painted a bronze-like color, so the color is not true to the original. The original was brass. My mom thinks it may have first been in my great grandmother's house but isn't positive. As a result, I don't know which decade to search in. Somewhere 1900-1950. She grew up in Upstate New York.

Can anyone help me to narrow down my search so that if another comes up for sale again, I'll be sure to find it? The ebay seller didn't respond to any of my inquires, but I will post the picture he had up of the item so you can see how it would've looked in the original brass.

The part that's been hardest to find is a match that doesn't have a ring around the middle of the center pole. Also, the particular foot shape has been a challenge too.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!!

You don't pay a moving company to lose your items. They caused this pain, not you.

1960s-70s would be my guess. Youd see things like this in Pier One and the like . I would like to add though, that after our house was robbed about 2007 or so,I was determined to replace all the things that were stolen like moms jewelry box from Vietnam, etc. I scoured the internet, spent a good deal of money, and in the long run, though it was exact copies of stuff we'd lost,it just didnt feel the same. Every time you looked at something itd be in the back of your mind "Thats not the one dad bought, etc" . Just some food for thought. :)

Hi! thank you so much for all of your responses! I had to go out of town, so I wasn't able to check this thread before now. I never expected that there might actually be one for sale somewhere!
I tried to click on the link 2manybooks provided, but it didn't take me to an active page. Was that where the screenshot Aquitaine posted came from? I hope I haven't missed my opportunity to buy it. Can you tell me if the sale is over?

Thank you again for your help!

Yes, the LetGo listing is where the image came from. As the link no longer works, I would assume it is no longer available. Sorry.

I found it by doing an image search for "vintage brass coat rack", and scrolling through the resulting pages.
