Japanese Folding hand fan collectors, age and ID

It is paper and hand and stencil painted i believe, Bamboo and black lacquer with a brass wire hanger. It is 25" wide when open

It looks hand painted, not very old. Just checking if it is actually Japanese made. When it is shut, does it have a shape like this one?



Both ends are slightly tapered, and it is rather tight when you try to open it.

Thanks, Mikey. That means not Japanese made, which is what I suspected. Maybe Philippines, made to be sold as a souvenir in Japan? Cute though.
