Could this really be Meji period bronze grape vase?

    Approx 5" I knew I recognized something about it when I saw it I had seen it previously on some show I just don't remember which Is this really Meji period? It's what comes up when I google searched it It is hard for me to determine the age Help, please!!

    I have something similar in a different shape.
    I was told mine was late 1800s Japanese. So I guess it would fit in the Meiji period.

    Is yours this clean? It looks so clean or has a lack of patina I could be very wrong

    Did you see the hoarders thread.
    You're not a hoarder unless the cat hair and dust are 1/2" deep. Afraid mine is not clean.:cat:

    But yes, the smooth brass grapes and leaves are highly polished with darker mottled background.
