Hello from Ireland ...help needed to identify sideboard

We have recently been given this sideboard. It's very beautiful and quirky. I hope to restore it for my home. Was wondering if anyone would know anything about it. Thanks in advance.

 

Nice! Circa 1900, arts and crafts design period. Would say English but suppose could be Scottish or even Irish. Too bad the inlay is in such poor condition.

 

That poor thing! It definitely needs some love. It looks like it was left out in the rain.

 

That floral design reminds me of Art Nouveau/Jugenstil (1890-1910).
A pretty piece! I hope you can restore it to it's former glory. Good luck!

 

With the thistles in the backsplash I'd say Scottish. It does indeed seem to have literally been left out in the rain. Cool decorative features. Love the beaten copper strapwork hinges.

 

How unusual and beautiful. Definitely restore if you can! Love it!

Hope I can get mine looking like this mine has been in an old derelict house belonging to the family for years. I saved it from being used as firewood!!!

I'm late again. This screams and shouts late 19th into early 20th British/Irish Art Noveau with a side order of Arts and Crafts on the fitment details. Those straps are very A&C. A bit of a melange.

Well worth restoring, it's lovely.
