    ?? I’ve heard lemon,vinegar,ketchup and toothpaste but.....porridge?

I occasionally get jewellery that look like it has been wiped with porridge, which got in every nook and cranny. It must have happened a long time ago, as some of it looks fossilized.:vomit:
    Purely medicinal, I swear.:nurse:;)

    It always amazes me!
I once got my hands on a used pair of .85 tcw diamond studs. The baskets under the diamonds were totally caked with nasty earlobe porridge. :vomit:
I soaked them in soapy water and managed to pick out all the grunge. A super gross task, but this is what I had to suffer through to liberate these beautiful diamonds. I wear them now, of course, and clean them once a week in the ultrasonic!

And what do people do to their earrings to get them coated in that vile yellow crusty stuff that I don’t even want to consider what it is:vomit:. I have been known to visibly spook and put jewellery down very quickly after a glance through a loupe :pompous::stop:. You would think Covid wouldn’t have a chance with us as surely we must be immune to most things by now!

My daughter, as a teen, was notorious for using tons of hairspray. When she moved out...there was residue everywhere...and there is probably still some in the heating vents 35 years later !!!

This needs to be tested. It looks like a lot of rings I have gotten that are gold filled with real but low quality stones.

I also probably didn't have the best lighting when I took this picture. That may make a difference also.
