Vintage Tire Advertisement?

Is this U.S. Royal advertisement vintage (1962 or thereabouts) or is it an reproduction made later? I got this piece grouped into an auction lot I purchased and wanted to learn a bit about it before I decided whether I was going to keep it or donate it to the local thrift store. Does this type of item have much collectable interest?

I have a vintage Coca Cola poster with the exact same frame that I bought for a friend of mine who collects Coke stuff. I could not tell how old it was, but he didn't care. What does the back look like? Can you take it out of the frame without damaging it?

 

As a rule of thumb, a genuine vintage ad will be printed two sides (as it originally appeared in a magazine) and a reproduction will be printed on only one. Removing it (carefully) from its frame should answer your question.

There is collector interest in vintage ads for sure. In the case of your ad, I'm making an educated guess that it wouldn't translate into enough money to make it worth your time to sell. Condition is only fair given the foxing, and since magazine ads were printed by the millions, there's a never-ending supply and a collector would wait for one in better condition.
