    Made in France
    Scary thing is, I have had laser eye surgery and I am still blind as a bat lol

    Usually called a naturalist's pocket microscope, or field microscope, late 19th C. Originally it had a case.

    Stormy, I am just curious but . . . does the wording on the scope say "Made in France" or simply "France"?

    Bit late to the party, but yes, a pocket microscope from the 1890s or early 1900s-1910s. Not especially powerful, but still very cute. 'Made in France' would suggest post-1890s.
