Featured Cute Cuff links or tie pins? From where and when???

I've searched and can't find anything quite like these sweet things. I'm sure they're inexpensive, but they're very endearing. Only one of each sport (I'm counting an elephant as a sport ), so they're meant to be mismatched, or I'm missing some? Or are they tie pins?

Shirt studs.............and you can probably date them by the spring arrangement............I have forgotten when that type was introduced..............sorry!

 

Oh, sweet! So you'd wear them all at the same time I also found one cufflink with the same elephant. Really hoping to find another now to have the complete set! Thank you @Mansons2005!

 

I personally would not be caught dead wearing those!!!!

But a "set" usually consisted of 3-5 studs (depending on the era) and a pair of cuff links and they usually all matched. Number of studs was determined by whether a waistcoat or a cummerbund was worn. I think cummerbunds came in during the 1950s, but memory fails a LOT these days, so.....................

 

Agree, shirt studs. They are cute.

 

They kind of feel like something a child would wear for a special occasion....you've probably outgrown them @Mansons2005 . Me too, about outgrowing them AND memory failing!

 

Never saw a child in tails or a smoking (tuxedo), but hey, my taste in "proper occasion" clothing is stuck somewhere around 1959.....................

 

I'd have no issue wearing the ship's wheel and roller skate.
