Hi folks. Need help with a piece I picked u today. Is this a Chesterfield ?

Found something similair which they call a Chesterfield Queen Anne. Couldn't find any labels on this one so need some advice. Maybe also an idea on date? Any info/input is welcome.

In Canada, the terms chesterfield, couch and sofa are interchangeable...they all refer to seating for more than one person. A piece limited to 2 people would be called a love seat.
I would call your very nice chair a tufted wing back, Queen Anne style.

That's interesting to know. I always thought that chesterfield was a brand...:shame:

Will research using these terms. Needed the info so I could research it on value because I'm using it now as garden furniture and wanted to check to be on the safe side. So comfortable....

I don't know of chesterfield as a brand for seating, but I do know that the chesterfield overcoat was named after the Earl of Chesterfield.
BTW, your patio looks very inviting, but I wouldn't risk that nice chair getting wet and perhaps mildewed.

I know exactly what you mean.. That's why I want to research it first to be on the safe side. I could tell you anything you want to know about vintage wristwatches, but furniture is not my strongest side.

Any ideas about age. Thx for taking the time.

Ah! This lead me to confusion - as I left my Chesterfields in the pocket of my Chesterfield, which I had thrown of the arm of the Chesterfield in the Chesterfield in Chesterfield.................

Furniture is not my forte either, there are lots of furniture experts here that could determine age. I do know that this style can be found today in upscale furniture shops. A classic style that endures.

This is a Chesterfield. The defining feature is the rolled back and arms - all one level. Not sure if they have to be tufted or not but think generally so.

Annpan Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

Hi, your chair is a Chesterfield wing back chair. It is a reproduction of an earlier chair in the Queen Anne style. They do quite good money here (UK) take a look on ebay they sell well. :)
