benbenny007 I buy rubbish, and sell antiques

Bought this ones because I thought it could be old. Had to find out a month ago that my wife had nicked it and put some flowers in it as a aroma therapy in the bathroom :muted:?? Must say they smell nice whatever they are.

Now the only way I can get it back is if it turns out to be primitive native or such :) Any ideas which country this could be from and what it was used for? The outside colors are faded away and it got some aging to it. The inside colors are still vibrant. It's well made with a lid that seals the basket, so think it was used and was not a tourist object Any if input is welcome

It's African, a traditional type of basket from Ethiopia.

If it's a tourist piece, it's an old one.
