I found this at a thrift store yesterday - along with one in a similar style that was done by listed artist Jose Antonio Pur Gonzalez - but I can't make out the name; can anyone tell me who the artist is?
    I looked up D. Pascual & P. Pascual but couldn't find anything.
PS - I gotta be honest, at first I thought it was a painting of 2 men attacking or robbing a lady(!) until I saw the title 'El Dentista'!
    Thank you for any info.

I've seen Pascual as a first name, and a surname. You may want to look for Pascual P or R

I'll be honest...I've had times where I felt like my dentist attacked me...

lol - this is the 2nd one I got & thought it was by same artist; same person must have donated both because they were both framed at Michael's with same type frame.

So, what does "listed artist" mean these days? Does it count to sell online; does it count to have a painting or two sold at a small time online auction? Is there a working definition? @Debora ?

Not Debora but I’ll give you my take. My take is that a listed artist means nothing more than that they were recognized as a working artist or educator who also made art. What matters and IMO all that matters (if one is buying art for resale or future investment) is whether the artist has relatively current auction results. That an artist is listed on artnet, askart, etc is meaningless IMO in terms of value unless they perform at auction.

Value of art is determined by secondary market resale.

Meanwhile that’s not to say that some unlisted artists won’t bring smile worthy prices on a decorative level. I forgot who recently posted an unknown, but IMO terrific abstract with plumbing elements. I hope they did well with it if they were selling it. I would have hung it in my house.
