    Purple sequins, anyone?

This Liberty labelled quilted jacket feels a bit silky.

No idea of the age of this one. 1950s?

With that big, offset, button, I think 1960s would be about right, but 1950s could well be right too.
It looks very "Jackie Kennedy" to me.

Sure does, and very comfy at that. I love bed jackets, and the wicker tray with the place for the morning paper, and the English breakfast set complete with teapot, and the pink rose in a vahse...and the maid who brings it all in.

    :)

I'd take the maid with plain toast and coffee, thank you.

Bev: I understand it's snowing like crazy up there!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I'll guess 1980s or 1990s for the purple one. Of course, could be way off!

I should think the Liberty's jacket would appeal to a vintage clothes collector. I rather like the sequined one, and think Fig's got the date about right. Just imagine dancing under a mirrored ball with that on!

Would like to see the inside neck on the sequined one. With those sheer panels, it's hard to decide on an age.

Not on the outer Cape. We have high winds and pelting rain.

Still want to see the inside of the sequined jacket.
    Just because it's purple doesn't mean it's 1990s.
Might be, but might not be.

1-P1040027.JPG The inside of the purple thing. It appears to held onto the wearer by gravity only, so no tangoes.

    Ah! See?
If that is from 1990s, I will eat my hat!
(Please note that I have been known to be wrong from time to time :), but I don't think, in this case, that I am.)

Well, I did say that I could be wrong.

That's why I said that too - because I am so often wrong! LOLOL

I would not have bought things like this deliberately, but they probably came in with a something else that I did want and have been hanging around for ten years or so.

I can't see the sequined thing fetching any money, but it looks as if the dress might be worth a quid or two if the right buyer comes along. Maybe I'll try the bed jacket(?) thing myself. It's getting colder here this week.

I wouldn't discount the sequined jacket - think Phryne Fisher.
    She would have loved it.

    or Liberace
Would probably appeal to theater or cosutme seeking blokes. Kind of looks hand made to me, but I know nothing about vintage clothes. But that dress whoo hoo I could see Rihanna wearing something like that. The sequin dress is too cool
