mmm...no real stand-outs for me, I like Art Thompson's stuff, couple of good ones of his, but overall I thought the sale was pretty pedestrian. With the exception of a couple of pieces thought most of the paintings were pot boilers. Cap'n Andy Brown's poles are a good deal if they stay that low but IMO I think Bill Reid's stuff is overpriced.
I just noticed, there is also a pair of Ken Loo earrings. I have a slightly different pair, also hoops and feathers, all silver and signed. I'll be watching.
Thank you AJ! I love the colors & the subject. I have a passion for houses in paintings, and those happy children dressed so colorfully makes me smile. I could easily live with that.....too bad I don't have wall space.
I like that one, too! It has already gone higher than I would pay, though. Only about 90 minutes left. https://www.maynardsfineart.com/auc...d-canadian-1920-1998-raven-and-the_249498F8B7
Did y'all have to register to see the images???? Cuz I get nuttin'!!!! Wait......this was yesterday......"it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings'.....and guess she already SANG.....
I could see them all without registering. It isn't over yet, btw, 1 hour 37 mins left for the Ken Loo earrings. The bids are waaay beyond what I paid for mine, which are nicer imo.
WELL, FINALLY!!!! Firefox would NOT let me see anything for some UNgodly reason, HOWEVER Chrome, which I HATE to use, WOULD!!!! The ONLY thing I LOVED, @Any Jewelry and I would be 'duking' it out for, BUT, my pocketbook also says it's a NO NO, but WOW, is that Eagle or Eaglet gorgeous!!!!!
I was alone with it when I saw it. Much better than with other people. (Who have as much right to be there as I had, but.... )
My beloved painting........... https://www.maynardsfineart.com/auc...h-canadian-1955-aligned-for-fun-oi_9224ABA9F6 $1700...... I did consider the opening bid and adjusting wall space..........I think it was $800, if memory serves. I could live with that painting and be so happy. Now it's someone else's to love and cherish.
And I'm sure they will. I would have loved for you to have won it though, but some things just aren't meant to be. Thanks, judy. I wear them a lot.
You're correct AJ.......I already love what I have, so I'm happy and grateful. I wear very little jewelry, my favorite piece is an ivory happy Eskimo and that I wear all the time. I'll post a pic................
