Brad, I love the pottery bowl. I love the crows!! And you guys find the most beautiful glassware.

When I watched that documentary about the Jackson Pollock found in the thrift shop, the painting was so beautiful I cried....I wouldn't know a Rembrandt from a 1960s paint-by-numbers, but I knew in my heart that was the real deal.

So I am so far behind in my sorting and photographing and putting away my stuff I threw some on paper plates tonight to show you some thrift shop-church sale-yard sale finds.

The pearl/hematite/14k beaded necklace was found at the barn sale last week in my 3 for $5 pile....

The following were found at the barn sale, 3 for $5 pile: Sorrento sterling hematite and pearl earrings, heart-shaped Catherine Popesco France brooch, Sorrento GF coral brooch,
rhodium-plated wreath brooch, japanned black brooch and earrings, Celtic costume cross, 1920s brass cross featuring strass/brilliants. Sterling dogwood earrings, Craft strawberry brooch, thrift shop. Rose ivory earrings, iris glass brooch, gold-filled lockets, church sale, pink and smokey gray rhinestone brooch, in a pile of stuff from a flea market.

The ivory necklace was an antique mall find, $6. The broken sterling vermeil necklace featuring genuine garnets, the barn sale pile, the 2 14k coral dangles for hoop earrings, and alas, the one cloisonne dangle were in one bag, barn sale, the vintage etched heart, not sure if GF or gold, church sale. And I still have some more to sort..... 20170601_193633 (606x640).jpg

I love the comic books, have fun with the bin.... I wish I had all mine from the 1960s, especially Wonder Woman with the movie coming out.

Evelyb, many, many a day has been spent wasting gas. At least I enjoy the ride and the scenery.

i have given away a couple but never sell them lol . it is hard to sell ungraded comics, as most on ebay just put up a stock picture, and a disclosure saying it "not the one shown", and grade them themselves .
most comics aren't worth much , key comics are worth loots (pun intended ) but only if graded by a reputable company, cgc commands more than pcg, for example , and the canadian one even less . same as anything condition condition condition is everything in collectibles .

My best find was the Simpsons Lego House - 3 instruction booklets, 2523 pieces - who thinks up toys like this? It if pretty cool though, took a bit of time to put it together. I also got an octopus light, a Pena Windstone Editions inner light dragon, 2 big cases of science fiction booklet/magazines from the 1940s-60 (great cover art) and a 45lb box of magic cards from the 1990s - my youngest son is sorting them out for me as he grew up with them.
