Paul Warren Zimmerman ~ watercolor or print?

I have not taken this out of it's frame to inspect it with a magnifying glass; and I'm having a hard time viewing it through the glass with a magnifying glass, to determine if there are Ben Day dots.

Just wondering if there are any aficionados of Paul Warren Zimmerman, and if you have ever seen this image?

 

It's hard to id from your pictures on a computer screen whether it's a print or not. A good Magnifying glass or loupe should tell you even looking through glass. The mount cut edges have discoloured so probably framed 10- 20 years ago.

I know it's a long shot to ask if anyone has ever seen this image elsewhere ~ but right now, that's mainly what I'm wondering.

I just can't seem to find it anywhere!

 

I know the web doesn't show everything but I can't find any prints for sale so you may be lucky and have an original. He certainly was a good artist, I really like his work.

 

I'm particularly fond of this image ~ and have seen other works of his, in this style, landing it smack-dab in the middle of the mid-century I think.

It's definitely a *keeper* ~ whether an original or not.

 

you need a hand held microscope to see it, $10 at princess auto, or any where they sell electronics. like radio shack if you still have one , .
